Retatrutide (Reta) 30mg Australia
Triple GLP-1 / GIP / glucagon receptor agonist research peptide, 30mg vial
Retatrutide, usually shortened to Reta, is the most searched research peptide in Australia and the compound with the largest body-weight reductions reported in any published trial programme. This page carries the full overview of what Retatrutide is, how it works and what the trials found, alongside the 30mg vial: the size most Australian researchers settle on once they have run a first 10mg. Janoshik tested at 99%+ purity, held in Sydney, dispatched same business day before 12pm AEST.
Also searched as reta peptide, retatrutide peptide, reta 30mg, retatrutide 30mg australia, and the common misspellings retarutide, retatritide and reda peptide.
What is Reta?
Retatrutide is a 39-amino-acid synthetic peptide developed by Eli Lilly under the code LY3437943. It is built on a GIP backbone with a C20 fatty diacid chain attached, which binds albumin in the blood and gives the molecule a half-life of around six days. That long half-life is why every published protocol uses once-weekly administration and why steady state takes four to five weeks to reach.
What makes it different from every earlier metabolic peptide is that it activates three receptors at once: GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. Semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) hits one. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) hits two. Retatrutide is the first triple agonist to reach Phase 3, which is why it is referred to as a next-generation or third-generation compound.
How the three receptors are studied
Appetite suppression, slowed gastric emptying and glucose-dependent insulin release. The pathway behind semaglutide.
Studied for additive effects on body weight and insulin sensitivity beyond GLP-1 alone, and for reducing nausea at a given level of GLP-1 activity.
Studied for increased energy expenditure and hepatic fat clearance. This is the arm that is new, and the one thought to explain why the weight reductions exceed the dual agonists.
What the published trials found
Phase 2 (Jastreboff et al., NEJM 2023, n=338, 48 weeks): weekly arms of 1mg, 4mg, 8mg and 12mg produced mean body-weight reductions of 8.7%, 17.1%, 22.8% and 24.2% against 2.1% for placebo. Nausea was the most common adverse event, and the authors noted it was reduced by starting at a lower amount and stepping up.
TRIUMPH-1 (Phase 3, announced May 2026, n=2,339, 80 weeks): 4mg, 9mg and 12mg arms produced 19.0%, 25.9% and 28.3% reductions against 2.2% for placebo. In the 104-week extension the 12mg arm reached 30.3%. Just under half of the 12mg arm lost 30% or more of body weight.
TRIUMPH-2 (type 2 diabetes cohort, n=1,152) and TRIUMPH-3 (established cardiovascular disease, n=1,949) reported 20.8% and 22.6% at the highest arms respectively. A distinctive adverse event in the programme was dysesthesia (altered skin sensation) at 4.5 to 7.3%, attributed to the glucagon arm. Lilly has stated it intends to file with the FDA in early 2027. Retatrutide is not approved anywhere and is not on the ARTG. All of the above describes the sponsor's controlled trials of a pharmaceutical-grade product; it does not characterise research material and is not an instruction.
Why the 30mg vial
Thirty milligrams is the point where per-mg pricing drops to $12.00 (from $17.00 at 10mg) while the vial is still small enough to reconstitute in one go at a sensible concentration. It yields thirty 1mg aliquots, fifteen 2mg, or seven 4mg with 2mg spare, which is why it is the most chosen size for a single sustained research arm. The competitor page that ranks first in Australia for this compound is also a 30mg page; researchers have converged on this size.

Retatrutide FAQ
What is Reta?
Reta is the shorthand for Retatrutide, a triple GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptor agonist peptide developed by Eli Lilly (LY3437943). It is the most studied next-generation metabolic peptide and the one with the largest weight reductions in published trials.
What is Retatrutide also known as?
Reta, reta peptide, LY3437943, GGG tri-agonist, triple agonist. Common misspellings include retarutide, retatritide, retatrutide peptide and reda.
Retatrutide vs Tirzepatide: what is the difference?
Tirzepatide is a dual agonist (GLP-1 and GIP). Retatrutide adds the glucagon receptor. In head-to-head comparison of published Phase 3 data, Retatrutide's highest arm reached 28.3% at 80 weeks versus roughly 21% for Tirzepatide at 72 weeks, in different trials. Both are stocked here.
Is Retatrutide available in Australia?
As a research compound, yes: this vial is held in Sydney and ships same day. As a medicine, no: it is not TGA approved, not on the ARTG, and not available through pharmacies or compounding. Lilly has not yet filed for approval in any country.
When will Retatrutide be available in Australia as a medicine?
Lilly intends to file with the FDA in early 2027. A TGA submission would follow FDA filing; no Australian date has been announced. Until then it exists only as a research reagent.
How much is Retatrutide 30mg in Australia?
$359.99, which is $12.00 per mg. See the 60mg page for the full price ladder across all sizes.
How much bacteriostatic water for a 30mg vial?
3mL gives 10mg/mL (1mg = 10 units). 1.5mL gives 20mg/mL for smaller draw volumes. The vial holds about 3mL maximum.
Can I buy Retatrutide at Chemist Warehouse?
No. Retatrutide is not a registered medicine and is not sold by any Australian pharmacy. Anything advertised as retatrutide pens or tablets at a pharmacy is not this compound.
Is Retatrutide legal in Australia?
It is supplied strictly for lawful in-vitro laboratory research and is not sold as a medicine, supplement or therapeutic good. Purchasers are responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable laws.
